Great to meet you!

Mental health in the military is shaped by experiences that overlap with, yet differ meaningfully from, the civilian world. My own transition from active‐duty service into therapeutic practice felt natural — a continuation of the commitment I made to support those who serve and the families who stand beside them.

At Iris Point Behavioral Health, this commitment guides everything I do. My mission is to provide person‐centered, culturally aware support for service members, veterans, military families, individuals living with severe mental illness, and anyone navigating life’s challenges. I believe in meeting people where they are, honoring their resilience, and creating a space where their story is heard, respected, and valued.

My approach to therapy

In my work at Iris Point Behavioral Health, I draw from evidence‐based modalities that support clients in building resilience and reclaiming control over their experiences. I often incorporate mindfulness practices to help clients slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and develop awareness of their thoughts and emotions. Alongside this, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to examine how patterns of thinking influence mood and behavior, and Cognitive Processing Therapy to help individuals work through trauma‐related beliefs that may be keeping them stuck. Together, these approaches support meaningful change while honoring each client’s lived experience.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we’ll take time to understand what brought you in and what you’re hoping to change or improve. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of your goals and the collaborative plan we’ll build together.
