Great to meet you!

I’ve spent over 25 years working in community mental health across the Denver area, supporting people through everything from everyday stress to more complex challenges like trauma and addiction.

I know starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve been carrying things on your own for a long time. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to do that anymore. I bring a straightforward, supportive approach—someone who will listen, challenge you when needed, and help you actually move forward.

I’ve worked with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use, and I understand how these experiences can show up in daily life, relationships, and decision-making.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy being outdoors, playing music, and staying connected to the things that keep life balanced—which is something I encourage clients to build for themselves too.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and mindfulness-based techniques.

In simple terms, we’ll work on:

  • Understanding how your thoughts and experiences are shaping your current patterns
  • Challenging beliefs that are keeping you stuck
  • Building practical tools to help you respond differently and move toward the life you want

I focus on helping you take meaningful action—not just talk about problems, but actually create change. Therapy with me is collaborative, honest, and tailored to what works best for you.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about getting to know you—your story, what’s been weighing on you, and what you’re hoping will change.

You can expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we:

  • Talk through what’s bringing you in
  • Identify a few initial goals
  • Start outlining a path forward

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you show up. My role is to help you make sense of things and take the next step at a pace that feels manageable.
