Great to meet you!

My name is Jericia Johnson and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over two decades experience in community mental health. I hope my practice working with me provides you a safe space to unbox, unload, sort through and discard tough emotions, pain spots, or soul injuries that are preventing you from moving forward on your journey.

My approach to therapy

I consider myself an active passenger in your journey- pointing out possible roadblocks, suggesting direction, encouraging pit stops along the way. I use multiple and diverse clinical techniques to address your therapy needs. I assign homework and activities to complete outside of therapy sessions to reinforce and strengthen change behavior.

What you can expect from me

The first appointment is an opportunity to gain insight into the contextual framework of the concerns bringing you to therapy. It's an opportunity for your to share your story, in a space where you are not judged or criticized for choices you've made. I obtain historical information about you to help me formulate a plan to best help you navigate through this space in your journey. It's also an opportunity for you to ask questions to get to know me and determine if I will be a good fit for you. At the end of the first appointment, we will have an initial plan of action to tackle your personal roadblocks.
