I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 35 years working in diverse clinical settings. The majority of my career has been spent working with adult and geriatric patients in medical or psychiatric settings. I have extensive experience working with adjustment, bipolar and substance use disorders, Alzheimer's Disease, stroke recovery, caregiver fatigue, anxiety and panic disorders, PTSD, trauma recovery and depression. I believe that a positive, trusting therapeutic alliance is imperative to achieve the best possible clinical outcomes in treatment. I am genuine and caring in my approach and foster healthy collaboration with my clients to best assist them with facilitating change, problem solving around issues and barriers, and achieving desirable outcomes.

My approach to therapy

I utilize an integrative approach in therapy which enables me to utilize a variety of skill sets to meet each individual's unique needs. I believe in the importance of empowering clients, focusing on their strengths and building a stronger sense of self to better meet life challenges. My goal is to establish a meaningful therapeutic relationship with my clients to assist them with managing their emotions and overcoming life barriers so they may advance forward and have a happier, healthier life.

I am genuine and empathetic and will help you to explore your identified needs and outline your therapeutic goals and treatment plan. I will gently guide you through the intake process and I always encourage my clients to inquire about my treatment style to assure that my modalities will best suit your needs to lead to the best possible therapeutic outcomes.
