Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Jerrica Newsome, a licensed professional counselor and founder of LifeWell Psychotherapy. I provide trauma-focused treatment and specialize in working with women and the BIPOC community. Trained in EMDR and Brainspotting, with certifications in CCTP and DBT-C, my approach is shaped by my experiences with identity, life transitions, and parenting. I'm dedicated to helping you heal from trauma, break generational cycles, and achieve personal growth in a compassionate and supportive space.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic and client-centered, valuing authenticity and connection. I use EMDR and Brainspotting to help clients heal from trauma and break generational cycles. I focus on building trust, understanding clients beyond their trauma, and teaching coping skills for daily life. My goal is to empower clients by enhancing their self-awareness and supporting them through meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I’ll focus on making you feel comfortable and understood. We’ll discuss your background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. I’ll explain my approach, answer your questions, and outline what to expect moving forward. By the end, you'll have a clear idea of how we'll work together to support your healing and growth.
