Great to meet you!
My journey to becoming a therapist has been shaped by a lifelong desire to support others and a variety of experiences that broadened my understanding of people and cultures. I was raised by two educator parents who modeled compassion, patience, and the value of helping others. I completed my undergraduate degree at Kansas State University and earned my master’s in Social Work from the University of Kansas. In 2007, I studied abroad in India, which deepened my cultural awareness and global perspective on mental health. The following year, I taught English in Korea, an experience that further expanded my worldview and strengthened my ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Upon returning to the U.S., I worked at Osawatomie State Hospital, where I gained hands-on experience with acute mental health care. In 2010, I became a school social worker, supporting students and families through a range of challenges. While fulfilling, I wanted to offer more individualized care, which led me to open my private practice in 2014 after receiving my clinical license. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life, creating a safe and supportive space where they can explore their experiences and move toward healing and growth.
