Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 14 years of post-master’s experience, I bring a compassionate, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach to therapy. Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of populations across diverse clinical settings, including individuals experiencing homelessness, youth involved in the criminal justice system, patients in psychiatric emergency services (CPEP), and those navigating mental health, eating disorders, substance use disorders, domestic violence, and community reentry following incarceration. My experience has allowed me to support individuals facing complex life challenges with empathy, respect, and practical guidance. I am committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in working toward meaningful change and emotional wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard. I utilize a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach while incorporating evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and supportive therapy. My goal is to help clients build insight, develop healthy coping strategies, improve emotional well-being, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience. I work with clients at their own pace and strive to create a nonjudgmental environment where growth, healing, and meaningful change can occur.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to be a supportive and welcoming space focused on getting to know them and understanding what brings them to therapy. During our initial session, we will discuss current concerns, personal history, goals for treatment, and any challenges they may be experiencing. I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or overwhelming, so I strive to create a calm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to share at their own pace. The first session is also an opportunity for clients to ask questions, learn more about my approach, and begin building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, collaboration, and respect.
