Jesse Anderson

I am a professional counselor in Missouri with 7 years of counseling experience in community mental health and in private practice. I am passionate about working with children, teens, and families. I am a Registered Play Therapist with specific training in attachment-based therapy between a parent and child. I also have experience and training with working people who have experienced trauma. I graduated with my Master of Arts in Counseling in 2017 from MidAmerica Nazarene University.

I like to work from a person-centered perspective where you are the expert of your own life and experiences. I prefer to start out by identifying your unique strengths and using those as building blocks to work toward healthy change. No two people are the same, so together we seek opportunities for growth and insight and create goals just for you.

I use initial sessions to get to know you and answer any questions you may have for me. We make time to talk about your reasons for beginning counseling as well as discussing different background questions about your life. I like to discuss your goals for the counseling process and make a plan for what future sessions will look like.
