Great to meet you!

Before becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I spent years working in both blue-collar and white-collar roles. Deciding to enter nursing school later in life gave me a grounded, real-world perspective that you can’t get purely from a textbook—I understand the everyday pressures, career stress, and life shifts my clients face. As a board-certified PMHNP holding graduate degrees from both the University of Texas at Tyler and Abilene Christian University, I blend rigorous clinical expertise with practical empathy. I don't just see a diagnosis; I see a whole person with a unique life story.

My approach to therapy

My care is built on true active listening. I take the time to deeply understand your specific situation, values, and goals rather than taking a 'one-size-fits-all' approach.

Mental healthcare works best as a collaborative partnership. We will work side by side to explore your options, weigh treatment paths, and decide together what works best for your life. You are the expert on your experience, and I am here to provide the clinical support, guidance, and tools to help you thrive.

What you can expect from me

In our initial session, we will focus on sorting through what is currently within your control and what isn't, laying the foundation for practical coping and adaptation strategies. We’ll thoroughly evaluate your symptoms to arrive at an accurate diagnosis, address any immediate concerns, and establish a personalized safety plan if needed.

Above all, you can expect a non-judgmental space designed to lighten your load and instill a clear, actionable sense of hope for the future.
