Great to meet you!

I have been a Social Worker for 8 years and an LCSW for 4 years. I strive to create a safe and secure space where clients can explore complex feelings and emotions that feel like barriers to living a meaningful life. I have worked with individuals in late adolescence to older adulthood experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and grief. I support people to learn skills and make changes in their relationships with others, with themselves, and with their emotions as a way to increase their sense of living a meaningful life. I am Mexican-American and bilingual in Spanish.

My approach to therapy

I use a client-centered approach and modify therapy based on your needs and wishes. I integrate aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and emphasize the use of self-compassion throughout the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from me

The first session focuses on learning about you—your experience and beliefs about therapy and what your life looks like for you right now. I want to learn what brought you to therapy, and together we can identify your therapy goals. I will review my therapeutic approach and welcome any questions or concerns you may have.
