Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who primarily works with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, and other challenges that can leave you feeling stuck. I enjoy helping people better understand not just what they are feeling or doing, but why those patterns developed in the first place. My background includes residential substance use treatment and outpatient mental health care. I created Clear Flame Counseling around the belief that meaningful change often comes from finding a balance between understanding and accepting ourselves while still working toward growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and individualized to you. I believe therapy works best when we balance acceptance with change, compassion with accountability, and understanding the past with figuring out what to do next. Depending on your needs, I may use CBT, mindfulness, psychoeducation, visualization, and trauma- or neuroscience-informed strategies. Rather than following the same formula with everyone, we’ll work together to find what is actually useful for you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will focus on getting to know you, what brought you to therapy, and what you would like to change. You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out—we can work together to make sense of what has been happening and identify where you want to go from here. I’ll ask questions about your experiences, concerns, strengths, and what you have already tried, but I want the session to feel like a conversation rather than an interrogation. By the end, we should have an initial idea of what you want from therapy and how we might work toward it together.
