Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) who earned my Master's Degree in Social Work from The University of Akron, with a specialization in Child Welfare. I also hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and an Associate's Degree in Human and Social Services with a concentration in Gerontology. Throughout my career, I have worked in community mental health, hospitals, schools, child welfare, disability services, and private practice. My experience has allowed me to support children, adolescents, adults, and families facing trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and other mental health challenges. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, individualized, and rooted in evidence-based practices. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also incorporating mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and other approaches based on your unique needs and goals. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Together, we'll build on your strengths, develop practical coping skills, process difficult experiences, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another in a comfortable, judgment-free environment. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your history, identify your strengths, and begin developing goals that are meaningful to you. Whether you're looking for a warm, supportive space to process difficult experiences or a more direct, solution-focused approach, I tailor therapy to fit your needs. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to partner with you by providing guidance, support, and evidence-based tools to help you achieve your goals.
