Great to meet you!

My name is Jessica Baker-Gordon, and I bring over 20 years in the medical field to my psychiatric practice. I became a Psychiatric-Mental Health Practitioner (PMHNP) in 2024 and have dedicated my work to caring for adult and geriatric population, particularly within nursing home and long-term care settings. I earned my PMHNP degree from Stony Brook University, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based care.

My clinical background includes experience as a Registered Nurse in emergency medicine, which shaped my ability to remain calm, attentive, and responsive in complex and high-stress situations.

I specialize in the assessment and treatment of major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, mood disorders, and schizophrenia, with a strong focus on thoughtful evidence-based medication management. My goal is to provide compassionate, respectful care that empowers clients to enhance their quality of life while feeling safe and supported throughout their mental health journey.

My approach to therapy

I approach treatment through holistic, patient-centered lens, recognizing that mental health is deeply connected to physical health, life experiences, environment, and personal values. I believe in collaborative care and take the time to listen, educate, and partner with the clients to develop individualized treatment plans that support healing and long-term wellness.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a supportive, collaborative and judgement-free environment. The visit will focus on getting to know you as a whole person, including your mental health concerns, medical history, current medications, life experiences and treatment goals. Time will also be dedicated to answering your questions and providing education.

My priority is to ensure you feel heard, informed, and supported from the very beginning of your care. MOST IMPORTANTLY I am committed to creating a safe and welcoming space where you can feel comfortable sharing and beginning your healing journey.
