Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinician with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and more than 20 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families. In addition to my private practice work, I have served as a Special Education Director in a public school district for two decades, giving me extensive expertise in the areas of developmental and learning disabilities, educational planning, and child advocacy.

My clinical practice focuses on helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, and a wide range of mental health challenges. I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based support that empowers clients to build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and achieve meaningful personal growth.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I draw from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, solution-focused techniques, and strength-based approaches to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. For children and adolescents, I incorporate developmentally appropriate interventions, including play-based strategies and skill-building tools that support emotional regulation and positive behavior change. With adults, I tailor treatment to each individual’s goals, blending practical coping strategies with deeper work around patterns, stressors, and personal growth. Whether supporting someone with anxiety, depression, or disability-related challenges, my focus is always on creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to make meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a comfortable, welcoming conversation focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your background, current concerns, and the goals you hope to achieve through counseling.

We’ll review confidentiality, discuss how the counseling process works, and outline what our sessions might look like moving forward. This is also your chance to ask questions, share preferences, and express any worries you may have about starting therapy.
