Great to meet you!

I am a professional counselor who recently began working part-time with Headway and am currently accepting new clients.

I have been working in the mental health field since 2015 across a variety of settings, including residential treatment, inpatient rehabilitation and detox, and school-based services. I currently work full time with Allegheny Health Network as a Behavioral Health Clinician, where I provide counseling to college students through the Chill Project.

As a clinician, I take a person-centered approach and draw from a range of evidence-based modalities tailored to each client’s needs, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and others. I also have a strong interest and experience in working with substance use disorders. In addition, I am a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC).

My approach to therapy

Life is a journey filled with meaningful moments as well as inevitable challenges. As a therapist, my goal is to support clients in improving their quality of life by helping them build the skills and insight needed to become their own therapist. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailoring treatment to each individual’s needs. Together, we will work to help you grow, navigate life’s challenges, and create a more fulfilling life.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I take a non-directive, collaborative approach that empowers clients to become the experts in their own lives. I provide a supportive and safe space to explore thoughts and emotions, while encouraging self-awareness, meaningful change, and practical solutions.

What you can expect from me

During our initial sessions, I will introduce myself and explain my approach to therapy. I will invite you to share what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together. I will also ask questions about your symptoms, medical history, family background, and current life circumstances, as this information helps me better understand your experiences and tailor a treatment plan to your unique needs. Throughout the process, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can openly share your thoughts and feelings.
