Great to meet you!

Good therapy requires more than a technique — it requires a therapist who understands where you're coming from. As an Asian American clinician, I bring a culturally responsive lens to everything I do, and I'm especially attuned to the ways culture, identity, family expectations, and lived experience shape how we feel and how we heal.

I work with adults on anxiety, OCD, panic, depression, PTSD, trauma, bipolar disorder, grief, and identity. I'm trained in CBT, DBT, and Trauma-Focused CBT — tools that are evidence-based and, more importantly, actually effective for the people I work with.

I've been doing this work for over 10 years, and I trained at Hunter College School of Social Work. I take a genuine interest in your specific situation — not a one-size-fits-all approach. We'll start with a brief intro call so we can get to know each other before diving in.

My approach to therapy

My approach centers on three things: understanding where your patterns come from, building practical skills to shift them, and doing both with curiosity rather than judgment.

For anxiety, OCD, and trauma, I use CBT and Trauma-Focused CBT to address the thoughts and meanings driving distress. For clients dealing with intense emotions, mood swings, or relationship patterns that keep repeating, DBT gives us concrete tools for regulation and change. I layer in Motivational Interviewing when you're ambivalent about change — because that ambivalence is real and worth working with, not pushing past.

My approach is always individualized. What works for one person won't necessarily work for another, and I'll adjust as we go.

What you can expect from me

We start with a brief intro call before the first full session — just a chance to connect, answer your questions, and make sure we're a good fit. No pressure, no commitment.

In the first session, I'll ask what's brought you here, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping feels different. We'll start sketching out goals that feel real and reachable — not a rigid treatment plan, but a genuine direction.

Most people leave the first session feeling clearer and a little less alone with what they've been carrying.
