Great to meet you!

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation between two people. I show up as myself: warm, direct, and genuinely curious about your life. I will not tiptoe around hard things, but I will never make you go somewhere you are not ready to go.

Much of my work centers on trauma, PTSD, and bipolar disorders, alongside anxiety, depression, OCD, and the everyday stress that builds up until it feels unmanageable. I have sat with a lot of people through some of the heaviest moments of their lives, and I have watched them come out the other side steadier than they thought possible.

My approach to therapy

My framework for therapy is psychoanalytic, and in practice I am psychodynamic. I often implement DBT, CBT, IFS, and motivational interviewing depending on your unique situation. I am open minded and have been told I am easy to talk to. With mood disorders, I focus a lot on tracking, early warning signs, and building structure that holds up when things get hard.

I also believe motivation is not a personality trait you either have or lack. It is something we can find together by getting clear on what actually matters to you.

What you can expect from me

Mostly, the first session is me getting to know you. I will ask about what brought you in now, what you have already tried, and what your day to day life actually looks like. I will also ask questions about your family and past. Some of it will feel like standard intake questions. Most of it will just feel like talking.

You are in charge of how much you share. If something is too raw to get into yet, say so and we will come back to it later.

Before we wrap up, I will share my initial thoughts on what might be going on and how I see us working together, and I will ask what you thought of the session. I want your honest read. We will also talk logistics: scheduling, what to expect between sessions, and how to reach me if something urgent comes up.
