Great to meet you!
I am a former tenure-track faculty member and taught bachelor’s rehabilitation studies, master’s rehabilitation counseling, and doctoral-level health services to research students in the Department of Rehabilitation and Health Services at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. For postdoctoral work, I completed a research and clinical fellowship in outpatient and community-based mental health services at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. I also completed a minority health services research traineeship at Columbia University in New York, New York. With the desire to live closer to family, I returned home to Wisconsin during the COVID-19 era.
I am now a licensed psychologist in New York, Texas, and Wisconsin. In 2014, I received my PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Rehabilitation Psychology. This field applies knowledge from psychology and focuses on maximizing health and wellness in the treatment of clients with neurodivergent conditions, persistent mental health concerns, or chronic physical illness and/or disability.
Given my training and background, I specialize in providing affirming therapy for neurodiverse adults, individuals with mental health concerns, & people with disabilities, including OCD, autism/ASD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, & chronic illness (e.g., pain, EDS, Long Covid). I also provide confirmation or diagnostic clarification on neurodivergent or brain style patterns.
