Great to meet you!

Anxiety and depression can make everyday life feel heavy. Worry loops, low energy, and self-doubt can leave you feeling stuck, even when you’re doing everything you can to keep going. You don’t have to figure it out on your own.

I specialize in helping people with anxiety and depression using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a practical, evidence-based approach. Together, we’ll look at the thought patterns and habits that keep you feeling stuck, and you’ll build skills you can use in your daily life, long after our sessions end.

My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy works best when you feel heard and respected, so we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you and focus on the goals that matter most to you

My approach to therapy

My work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a structured, evidence-based approach that focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. When anxiety or depression takes hold, our thinking can become negative or distorted, which affects how we feel and what we do. CBT helps break that cycle

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s normal to feel nervous. My goal for our first session is simple: to help you feel comfortable and to understand what’s brought you here.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • A warm welcome. We’ll start with a few minutes to get settled. There’s no right or wrong way to show up.
  • Paperwork and policies. I’ll review confidentiality, fees, scheduling, and cancellation policies, and answer any questions you have. [You may complete intake forms ahead of time through my client portal.]
  • Your story. I’ll ask about what’s been going on, including your symptoms, your history, your relationships, and what you’d like to change. Share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with.
  • Your goals. Together, we’ll talk about what you hope to get out of therapy and what success would look like for you.
  • A look at the road ahead. I’ll explain how CBT works, what a typical session looks like, and a general plan for how we’ll move forward. You may also leave with a small first step to try before we meet again.

By the end of the session, you’ll have a clear sense of how I work and whether we’re a good fit. Finding the right therapist matters, and I want you to feel confident in your choice
