Great to meet you!

If you're living with ADHD and feeling overwhelmed by everything you're expected to keep up with, therapy can be a place to finally slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and find strategies that work for you. My name is Jessica Disipio, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider with over six years of experience working with teens and adults in outpatient mental health settings. I especially enjoy working with high school students, college students, and adults with ADHD who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or executive functioning challenges, such as difficulties with organization, time management, planning, or initiating tasks.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy works best when you feel heard, understood, and accepted for who you are. I believe you know yourself best, so I won't tell you how you "should" feel or approach your life. Instead, we'll work together to better understand what's getting in your way and identify practical tools that fit your needs and everyday life. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients explore the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Most importantly, I tailor our work to your unique experiences, needs, and goals.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, my priority is to help you feel comfortable and supported. At your pace, we'll talk about what brought you to therapy, your personal history, current challenges, and what you hope to gain from our work together. Then we'll begin to identify your goals and explore how therapy can best support you.

Starting therapy can feeling intimidating, especially if you're unsure where to begin. You don't need to have everything figured out before our first session. My goal is to meet you where you are, offer validation and support, and work alongside you to create meaningful and manageable steps toward the changes you want to make.
