Great to meet you!

I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides strength-based care for individuals navigating multiple mental health challenges, including ADHD, OCD, PTSD and trauma, personality disorders, substance use disorders, schizophrenia and psychosis disorders, autism spectrum disorders, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, mood disorders, and bipolar conditions.

My practice is founded on the belief that every person possesses inherent resilience and capacity for growth, even amid significant mental health struggles. I'm drawn to working with complex patients because I see beyond diagnoses to remarkable individuals courageously managing multiple challenges. Whether you're neurodivergent with trauma history, in recovery while managing other conditions, or dealing with symptoms others have found difficult to treat, I approach our work with curiosity about your unique strengths.

My treatment philosophy centers on collaboration and empowerment. I believe you're the expert on your experience, and my role is to provide clinical expertise while honoring your autonomy. Together, we'll identify existing coping skills, build upon these foundations, and develop new strategies for managing symptoms and achieving your personal goals.

My practice focuses on recovery and post-traumatic growth beyond symptom management. I'm here to help you discover your strengths, build meaningful relationships, and create a truly fulfilling life. I provide personalized medication management and treatment plans that fit your real life. Whether managing work, relationships, or daily responsibilities, we'll develop practical strategies. Taking the first step can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate this alone. Your strength has carried you this far, and together we'll carry it even further. I'm accepting new patients and ready to support your journey toward healing, growth, and a life that feels truly meaningful.

My approach to therapy

My care philosophy is grounded in empathy, respect, and a heartfelt commitment to helping you achieve stronger mental wellness and a better quality of life. I believe everyone deserves compassionate, outstanding psychiatric care that honors them as a whole person. When working with me, you can expect to feel seen, valued, and supported at every step.

I foster a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can share openly—your struggles, concerns, and hopes for what lies ahead. I understand that mental health challenges can feel profoundly isolating, and I want you to know there is no shame here, only kindness and genuine understanding.

My approach to medication management is deliberate and individualized. I do not believe in rushed appointments or hurried prescribing. Instead, I build a thorough understanding of your psychiatric history, current difficulties, goals, and prior treatment experiences. I believe in transparency and patient education—I will always explain why I am recommending a particular medication, how it functions, what benefits to realistically anticipate, and which side effects to be aware of.

Psychiatric treatment calls for ongoing assessment and refinement. I am committed to consistently tracking your progress, addressing questions promptly, and adjusting our approach whenever necessary. Every decision we make is guided by both clinical evidence and deep respect for what you know about your own experience.

Beyond medication, I am genuinely curious about the broader landscape of your life—your stressors, relationships, and wellness habits. I stay accessible between appointments and coordinate with your other providers when beneficial to ensure comprehensive, well-integrated care.

My goal is helping you reclaim stability, confidence, and hope. Your healing matters deeply, and I am here to support you fully. Being trusted with your care is a privilege, and that privilege is something I never take for granted.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is dedicated to building a relationship grounded in trust, openness, and mutual respect. We will begin by discussing what brought you here, the symptoms or concerns that moved you to seek support. I will listen attentively and ask thoughtful questions to fully understand your situation, including how your mental health challenges are affecting sleep, appetite, energy, concentration, relationships, career, and the activities you once found rewarding.

We will review your history thoroughly, when symptoms first appeared, how they have evolved, what treatments you have pursued, and your response to each. I will ask about previous medications, what proved helpful, what fell short, and any adverse effects you experienced. We will also address your physical health, family psychiatric background, current life demands, and available support systems.

When we turn to medication management, I will walk you through your options, how they work to alleviate symptoms, what to realistically expect regarding benefits and timelines, and possible side effects. I believe in empowering you with understanding, so I will devote time to answering your questions and addressing any reservations you carry. We will discuss monitoring strategies, follow-up scheduling, and steps to take if side effects emerge or anticipated improvement has not yet appeared.

I emphasize the value of comprehensive care. Medication often achieves its greatest impact when accompanied by lifestyle modifications and stress management practices. Understanding the full picture of your wellness allows us to develop an approach that is sustainable, practical, and genuinely effective.

I remain reachable between visits, and I am honored to be part of your path toward recovery. I look forward to serving as a steadfast partner on your journey toward wellness. Together, we will work toward a life where you feel not simply better, but authentically thriving.
