Great to meet you!

I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides strength-based care for individuals navigating multiple mental health challenges, including ADHD, OCD, PTSD and trauma, personality disorders, substance use disorders, schizophrenia and psychosis disorders, autism spectrum disorders, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, mood disorders, and bipolar conditions.

My practice is founded on the belief that every person possesses inherent resilience and capacity for growth, even amid significant mental health struggles. I'm drawn to working with complex patients because I see beyond diagnoses to remarkable individuals courageously managing multiple challenges. Whether you're neurodivergent with trauma history, in recovery while managing other conditions, or dealing with symptoms others have found difficult to treat, I approach our work with curiosity about your unique strengths.

My treatment philosophy centers on collaboration and empowerment. I believe you're the expert on your experience, and my role is to provide clinical expertise while honoring your autonomy. Together, we'll identify existing coping skills, build upon these foundations, and develop new strategies for managing symptoms and achieving your personal goals.

My practice focuses on recovery and post-traumatic growth beyond symptom management. I'm here to help you discover your strengths, build meaningful relationships, and create a truly fulfilling life. I provide personalized medication management and treatment plans that fit your real life. Whether managing work, relationships, or daily responsibilities, we'll develop practical strategies. Taking the first step can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate this alone. Your strength has carried you this far, and together we'll carry it even further. I'm accepting new patients and ready to support your journey toward healing, growth, and a life that feels truly meaningful.

My approach to therapy

I approach every patient relationship with genuine empathy, real respect, and a heartfelt commitment to helping you build a healthier, fuller life. I believe strongly that everyone deserves exceptional psychiatric care delivered with compassion, seeing you as a full person rather than just a diagnosis. Working with me means feeling seen, valued, and supported throughout our time together.

I work to create a space that feels safe and completely free of judgment, where you can talk openly about your struggles, worries, and hopes for what's ahead. Mental health difficulties can leave you feeling cut off from others, but I want you to know there's no room for shame here, only genuine warmth and real understanding.

When it comes to prescribing medication, I take a deliberate, personalized approach rather than rushing through appointments or making hasty decisions. I take the time to fully understand your psychiatric background, what you're currently facing, your goals, and what treatments you've tried previously. Being transparent and educating you matters greatly to me; I'll always explain the reasoning behind a medication choice, how it functions, what outcomes are realistic, and what side effects to watch for.

Good psychiatric care isn't static; it requires ongoing check-ins and adjustments. I stay closely engaged with your progress, answer your questions promptly, and shift our approach whenever necessary. Every decision we make together draws on solid clinical knowledge combined with real respect for your firsthand understanding of your own experience.

Beyond just prescribing, I'm genuinely curious about the fuller context of your life, your daily stressors, relationships, and wellness routines. I'm available between visits and will coordinate with your other healthcare providers when doing so leads to more complete, unified care for you.

My hope is to help you find steadiness, confidence, and renewed hope.

What you can expect from me

Your very first session is devoted to building a relationship rooted in trust, openness, and mutual respect. We'll begin by discussing what brought you here, the symptoms or concerns that led you to seek support. I'll listen closely and ask purposeful questions to understand your situation fully, including how your mental health challenges are affecting your sleep, appetite, energy, concentration, relationships, work, and the activities you once found fulfilling.

We'll review your history in careful detail, when symptoms first emerged, how they've progressed over time, what treatments you've pursued, and how you responded to each of them. I'll ask about previous medications, which ones helped, which fell short, and what side effects you encountered. We'll also discuss your physical health, family psychiatric history, current life pressures, and existing support network.

When we turn to medication management, I'll walk you through your options, how they work to ease symptoms, what to realistically expect regarding benefits and timeline, and potential side effects. I believe in equipping you with knowledge, so I will take the time answering all your questions and addressing any concerns you have. We'll cover monitoring strategies, follow-up scheduling, and steps to take if side effects develop or improvement has not yet been felt.

I emphasize the importance of well-rounded care. Medication often works best alongside lifestyle adjustments and stress management practices. Understanding the complete picture of your wellness lets us shape an approach that's sustainable, practical, and genuinely effective.

You'll leave with a clear treatment plan, realistic expectations, and the confidence that someone truly cares about your mental health journey. I stay reachable between appointments, and I'm honored to be part of your healing process. I look forward to serving as a trusted partner on your path toward lasting, lifelong wellness.
