Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Jess, and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I am licensed in both Colorado and Florida. I have been practicing therapy for over 10 years now, and am grateful to say that I genuinely love what I do. I know finding a therapist can feel overwhelming, and it's always a privilege to be able to earn a new client's trust

My approach to therapy

While most therapists specialize in general mental health counseling, I am licensed as both a mental health counselor and a marriage and family therapist. This means that I have pursued additional education and training to be able to offer counseling to couples and families, and am well versed in the type of relational issues these populations face. Over the years, I have worked with clients from all different backgrounds and treated many different mental health conditions. The majority of my clients come to me struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, life adjustments, relationship issues, parenting difficulties, and more. Every situation is unique, but I only accept a new client if I believe I can help.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my primary goal is to get to know you and ensure you are comfortable with the therapy process itself. I want to give you time to feel fully heard and understood and allow space to answer any questions you might have about what to expect during our time together. I will ask some questions about your background, your current symptoms and what is bringing you into counseling, but will never force you to share more than you are comfortable discussing. By the end of our first session, we should have established some short and long term goals for therapy and have a better idea of what we can work towards accomplishing together.
