Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jessica Garry LMHC, and I help you feel supported, understood, and empowered as you navigate life’s challenges. I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults from a wide range of backgrounds and identities, and I help clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, and personal growth.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I want therapy to be a space where you can show up as you are, speak openly, and feel genuinely heard. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you, move at a pace that feels comfortable, and build on your strengths so you can make meaningful progress.

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors connect and to develop practical tools that support relief, resilience, and healthier patterns. I also bring a trauma-informed lens to my work and tailor each session to your needs, preferences, and goals so therapy fits you.

Whether you’re navigating a transition, coping with anxiety or depression, healing from past experiences, or wanting to feel more balanced and confident, I’m here to help you move forward in a way that feels manageable and empowering. Therapy can give you insight, support growth, and create real change, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you in that process.

I welcome clients of all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences and provide compassionate, affirming care. If you’re looking for a therapist who offers warmth, respect, and collaboration, I invite you to reach out. I’d be glad to connect and help you take the next step toward support.

Please note: In addition to the appointment times listed on Headway, I may have additional days and times available. If you don’t see a time that works for you, please reach out directly, and I’ll do my best to help you find an option that fits your schedule

My approach to therapy

Therapy should feel like a place where you are supported, understood, and able to focus on what matters most to you. I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor after earning my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Whitworth University, and I have spent years helping clients from many different backgrounds navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, and major life transitions. I know how overwhelming these experiences can be, and I believe it is essential to have a space where you feel safe, respected, and truly heard.

In our work together, you can expect a collaborative and compassionate approach that moves at your pace. We will explore what is getting in your way, identify your goals, and develop strategies that support meaningful, lasting change. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which can help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while also offering practical tools you can apply in everyday life.

Whether you are navigating a major transition, managing ongoing stress, or hoping to grow in new ways, I will meet you where you are and tailor each session to your needs. My goal is to help you feel more confident, supported, and equipped to take steady steps toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and set the foundation for your therapy journey. We’ll spend time discussing what brought you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns or challenges you’re currently facing.

I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions you have, and we’ll begin exploring strategies that may help you feel more supported and in control. This session is a safe, nonjudgmental space, and there’s no pressure—you don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly what you want to work on yet.

By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of how therapy can help you, a sense of what working together might look like, and some practical tools or insights you can begin using right away.
