Great to meet you!

Hello all! I started my nursing journey approximately 20 years ago; spending over 12 of those years as an emergency department RN. I originally obtained my family nurse practitioner in 2020 from Indiana Wesleyan University, as I always felt I would practice as a nurse practitioner in the emergency department, but I always felt a strong calling to the behavioral health field. After graduating, I took a chance on applying for a job on an inpatient behavioral health unit, and to my surprise, I was offered the job! I have spent the last 5 years of my career working as a nurse practitioner on an inpatient behavioral health unit and I have been so fortunate to have multiple psychiatrists pour into me and help me to become a better provider in those five years. After realizing the behavioral health field is where I wanted to stay, I enrolled in a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program (PMHNP) through Purdue Global to further my knowledge and put the credentials to the experience I had already gained! On the inpatient behavioral health unit, I treat a wide variety of conditions, from acute psychosis to depression and anxiety. I am passionate about being able to offer behavioral health services to areas where it may be lacking and telehealth has made this more possible than ever!

My approach to therapy

I am an open and honest provider and I believe transparency should be at the forefront of a client and provider relationship. I am an open-minded individual and will include you in the plan of care from the very beginning. I believe a successful client and provider relationship is built on mutual respect and the feelings/thoughts of the client are extremely important to improve client outcomes.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where my clients feel heard and comfortable. My goal is to always leave a session with my client in a better position than when we started.
