Great to meet you!

"BeYou To The Fullest" is the principle I live by, and it's what I want for every person I work with. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky. I help adolescents and adults across Kentucky heal from trauma, manage anxiety and depression, and build lives that feel like their own.

Much of my work focuses on trauma and PTSD, anxiety and panic, stress, and substance use. I also support clients with relationships, family dynamics, identity, women's issues, and the emotional ups and downs of pregnancy and postpartum. I specialize in working with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) clients. With me, you won't have to explain or defend who you are before we can get to the real work.

I see therapy as whole-person care for mind, body, and spirit. Together we'll build coping skills that actually work, strengthen the way you communicate, and make changes that last. I offer sessions in person or through secure telehealth, on weekdays and at some evening and weekend times, so therapy fits into your life instead of the other way around.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and focused on solutions. I don't believe you need to be "fixed." You already have strengths, and my job is to help you find them and use them. I use proven methods matched to what you need. That includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and DBT skills for overwhelming thoughts and emotions, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to move you toward your goals. I use Motivational Interviewing for when you're ready (or not quite ready) to make a change, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you live by what matters most. For trauma and substance use I often draw on Seeking Safety. Narrative Therapy helps clients rewrite the stories that have been holding them back. For couples, I bring in the Gottman Method.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about creating a safe, welcoming, judgment-free space where you can just be yourself. We'll get to know each other, talk about what's bringing you to therapy, and start exploring your goals for healing and growth. Therapy is a partnership, so we'll work together to name your strengths, look honestly at what's hard, and start shaping a plan that supports you.

You can share your story at your own pace, and there's no pressure to have it all figured out. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and a little more hopeful about what's ahead.
