Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Jessica Huhn, a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 18 years of experience in counseling, supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges and transitions. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Wyoming and have a background that includes outpatient therapy, school counseling, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and clinical supervision. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, foster care, adoption, emotional regulation, and the transitions that can sometimes leave us feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I’m genuine, approachable, and encouraging, and I believe therapy should feel like a partnership where you can show up as your whole self, grow, and even laugh along the way. My hope is that you leave our work together feeling understood, more confident in yourself, and connected to the strengths you already have.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and empowering. With a focus on creating a space where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self. I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and significant life transitions. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and develop tools that support meaningful growth. I bring more than 18 years of experience in mental health, education, crisis intervention, and psychotherapy to our work together. I also believe therapy can include humor, honesty, and hope—because sometimes a little laughter makes the hard things easier to carry.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other in a warm, comfortable, and judgment-free space. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’d like support with, and the experiences that have shaped you. You don’t need to have everything figured out—we can start wherever you are and work from there. I’ll answer your questions, explain how I work, and together we’ll begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. Most importantly, I want you to feel heard, respected, empowered, and maybe even find a little room for humor along the way.
