Great to meet you!

I’m Jessica Johnson, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor for over a decade. I will help you sift through thoughts, feelings, and experiences to improve your well-being. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques, but incorporate other therapies as needed for each client I support. As a solution-focused therapist, I will encourage you in embracing the best path forward and provide a trusting environment as you do so. I also enjoy nature, animals, hiking, traveling, reading, and spending time with family.

My approach to therapy

Sometimes we find ourselves stuck, hurting, or simply need something to change. You don’t have to navigate those moments alone. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable. You may not know exactly what to say, where to start, or even whether therapy is right for you. That’s okay. Our client-counselor relationship is critical as a foundation and my strengths in empathy, authenticity, and respect will support us as we begin working together.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, I hope to understand what brought you to therapy, identify and settle on initial goals, and answer questions you may have. I ask for your honesty and transparency so we can be most effective as we begin our time together.
