Great to meet you!

My name is Jessica Johnson-Hewitt, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). In April 2025, I founded S.T.A.R.S. Psychological Treatment Center. I was inspired to pursue this career path based on my personal experiences overcoming sexual trauma. Reframing my own story and using both my personal and professional experiences to support others fuels my passion for mental health and sexual trauma advocacy. My goal is to partner with you in your journey to find balance after your trauma. break down barriers, improve your quality of life, and work toward a state of mental wellness.

My approach to therapy

Here at S.T.A.R.S., I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and supported. My counseling approach integrates person-centered therapy with techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), always maintaining a trauma-informed perspective. I believe you are the expert on your life, and together, we’ll develop a personalized treatment plan. Through this process, you’ll gain the tools, skills, and strategies to navigate life confidently and with resilience. Let’s work together to help you achieve your goals and build the fulfilling life you deserve.

What you can expect from me
