Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jessica Kilgore, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master’s degree in Counseling and Human Development. I’m also a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. I specialize in cancer-related counseling because I understand that cancer changes more than medical routines—it can reshape your sense of self, your relationships, and the way you imagine the future. My role is to offer a steady, compassionate space where your story can be heard, your emotions can be honored, and healing can unfold at your pace.

My approach to therapy

My approach is gentle, collaborative, and grounded in emotional safety. I help clients slow down, make sense of what they are carrying, and notice how cancer has shaped their emotions, relationships, body, and sense of self. Our work may include reflection, attachment-informed support, parts-informed exploration, and mind-body awareness. We move with compassion, curiosity, and respect for your pace.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a place to talk honestly about how cancer has affected your life—not just medically, but emotionally, relationally, and personally. We may explore what feels heavy, what has changed, and what kind of support you need now. You don’t have to be positive, prepared, or “over it.” We’ll begin with care, curiosity, and respect for your pace.
