Great to meet you!

My path to becoming a therapist grew from a deep curiosity about people and how our experiences shape how we think, feel, and connect. I was drawn to work that feels meaningful, and my own journey with mental health and questions of identity gave me a deeper appreciation for the support that helps people feel truly understood. I pursued doctoral-level training in psychology, training in community clinics, college counseling centers, and group practices across Washington, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Southern California. These experiences continue to shape my approach, which is grounded in curiosity, care, and respect for each person. I enjoy working with the immigration population and the AAPI community.

My approach to therapy

As a relational psychodynamic therapist, I deeply care about creating an attuned and collaborative space where we can explore the “deep stuff” together and get to the root of your struggles. I believe the therapeutic relationship provides a safe foundation to understand both the known and less visible parts of yourself, as well as patterns in how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you.

I also believe our experiences are shaped within the context of our family histories, relationships, communities, culture, and identities. Understanding these patterns and influences can foster greater self-awareness and insight, helping you make sense of your present in light of your past and empowering you to make choices that feel more aligned with who you are.

What you can expect from me

I believe a good fit matters in therapy, so our initial consultation is a chance to learn about you and assess fit. We’ll start with an intake to hear your story, but learning and exploring continue throughout our work together. I focus on relational and psychodynamic work, helping you understand patterns in relationships and your inner world. Progress looks like gaining insight, feeling empowered to make different choices, and building a healthier relationship with yourself, your emotions, and others.
