Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Jessica, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) providing therapy for adolescents and adults.

At my core, I'm a DBT therapist. I believe in balancing acceptance with growth, meeting you where you are while also helping you move toward the life you want. I'll often ask, "What do you need today?" Sometimes the answer is a space to vent and process. Other times it's problem-solving, learning new skills, or finding a different way to approach what's keeping you stuck.

Together, we'll strengthen emotion regulation skills, break unhelpful patterns, and build practical tools you can actually use outside of therapy. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role isn't to tell you what to do, but to work alongside you, helping you better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and make the changes that matter most to you. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so we'll build a plan together based on your goals, values, and what feels right for you.

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, trauma-informed care, and EMDR when appropriate. Whether we're processing difficult experiences, learning new coping skills, or working through a current challenge, my goal is to help you leave each session feeling understood, empowered, and equipped with tools you can use in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will focus on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and identifying the goals you would like to work toward. We will discuss your background, current challenges, strengths, and any factors that may be impacting your emotional well-being.

My goal is for the first session to feel comfortable and collaborative. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy; we will work together to identify where you would like support and create a plan that feels realistic and meaningful for you.

Clients can expect a safe, supportive space where they can share their experiences at their own pace while beginning to build the foundation for a trusting therapeutic relationship.
