Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Jessica Martinez. I integrate talk therapy with Somatic Experiencing (SE) to help clients move out of their heads and into their bodies. While I offer guidance and solutions when appropriate, I believe clients are the experts on themselves and are best equipped to make their own decisions.

I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as my primary theoretical framework and incorporate meditation and mindfulness practices to help clients stay present in their daily lives. I am an LISW-Supervisor with a diverse social work background, spanning community development to one-on-one clinical therapy.

My approach to therapy

My theoretical framework is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and I integrate mindfulness and meditation as appropriate. My passion for therapy lies in creating a supportive environment where clients can develop a deep connection with themselves, gain understanding of their past, and make values-based decisions that guide their future.

What you can expect from me

After therapy, clients can expect to have a clearer understanding of how to navigate their thoughts and emotions and make decisions aligned with their values. They may also develop a healthier internal dialogue and gain insight into the sensations in their bodies, learning how to respond to these feelings in a constructive way.
