Hello, My name is Jessica McGinn LCSW. I received my Master's in social work from Adelphi University. I have worked on various practice locations and with various populations of people. I am dedicated to helping those I work with improve upon challenges they are dealing with and empower themselves. I pride myself on maintaining a nonjudgemental and accepting environment in my practice.
I use a adaptive style of therapy with those i work with. Meaning, the techniques and approaches I use depends on the individual I am working with and what their individual needs are. I have experience using, CBT, DBT, mindfulness stress reduction, motivational interviewing and other techniques.
Clients who work with me can expect to take away newly developed skills, a sense of empowerment, and a new perspective on what they are challenged by.
