Great to meet you!

My role as a mental health provider has undergone several iterations, first as an Adult, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, then as a Certified Integrative Nutrition Counselor, and now a Psychotherapist.I like to gently guide a therapy, not fit it into a box or remand it to one modality, and I try and provide an alternative perspective and have a conversation with the patient. I've been practicing individual psychotherapy for 17 years, with clientele ranging from pre-teens to adults.

My approach to therapy

As a holistic therapist I take an eclectic approach to treatment, tailored to the needs of each individual. I make creating s warm, authentic, nonjudgmental space a priority. With a National Board Certification in Health and Wellness coaching I weave stress-management and self-care modalities into all my patient interactions. I have additional experience working with those dealing with eating issues/disorders, sleep difficulty, gender and trans related situations.

What you can expect from me

I help patients deal with their concerns on two fronts: First, I give them the tools and support for symptom relief; Second, we examine what's been disturbing patients and upending their lives and look for ways we can resolve those larger issues. Most importantly, patients can expect to take away the experience of having a relationship with someone who is respectful of their boundaries, with someone who is wholly transparent with her motives and whose sole agenda is to be an advocate. I only expect that you show up, commit to the process and allow things to unfold. You don’t have to come to each session with an agenda or expect yourself to know what you will say or how you will say it. I don’t expect you to reveal all your “secrets” at once. It takes time for trust to develop and I realize that for many, abandonment and rejection are huge issues.
