Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should feel supportive, practical, and honest.

I specialize in working with individuals and families navigating ADHD, trauma, attachment challenges, parenting, and the complexities of adoption and foster care. I have extensive experience supporting children and families whose stories include trauma, disrupted attachment, behavioral challenges, and complex family dynamics. I also enjoy working with parents who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to support a child whose needs don’t always respond to traditional parenting approaches.

I’m not a therapist who simply sits back and nods—I’ll listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, offer perspective, and gently challenge you when it’s helpful. Therapy with me is collaborative, and there is always room for humor, humanity, and grace along the way.

My approach to therapy

My work is trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and grounded in the belief that behavior makes sense when we understand what is happening underneath it. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or “problem behaviors,” we’ll work together to understand the why, strengthen relationships, and develop strategies that are realistic for your actual life.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about getting to know you, understanding what brought you to therapy, and figuring out what you’d like to be different. We’ll talk about what’s working, what feels hard, and the experiences or patterns that may be contributing to where you are today.

My style is conversational and collaborative, so you don’t need to come prepared with the “right” things to say. I’ll ask questions, offer observations, and help us begin identifying goals together. Most importantly, the first session is also your opportunity to get a feel for me and decide whether I’m the right therapist for you.
