Great to meet you!

I’m a therapist who genuinely cares about helping folks reconnect with their self-worth and move toward healing in ways that feel real and sustainable. I believe growth happens in spaces where you can show up as your full self—no code-switching, no pretending, no shrinking. Around here, vulnerability isn’t a weakness; it’s a strength.

I’m deeply rooted in social justice, feminist theory, and a systemic lens, and I’m intentional about decolonizing traditional mental health practices. My work centers culturally responsive care that honors who you are, where you come from, and everything you carry with you into the room.

As a Type 1 diabetic, neurodivergent, and interracial adoptee, I bring lived experience alongside clinical training. I get how layered life can be. Those experiences allow me to meet clients with real empathy, insight, and understanding—because I know firsthand how important it is to feel seen, heard, and respected.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, flexible, and grounded in meeting you where you are. I use evidence-based practices like CBT, TF-CBT, and EMDR, and I also pull from DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Psychodynamic, Strength-Based, and Compassion-Focused approaches.

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. You’re not a checklist, and your healing isn’t either. Therapy with me is about building trust, learning new tools, unpacking old patterns, and making sense of how systems, identity, and lived experience show up in your life. We move at your pace, together.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting grounded and seeing if this space feels right for you. There’s no pressure to have the “right” words or a perfectly packaged story. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you need, and what you’re hoping therapy can support.

I also share the guiding principles of my practice:

  • Show up authentically — come as you are, always.
  • Take up space — your voice matters, and you’re heard here.
  • Prioritize you — this is your time, no judgment, no rush.

Expect a warm, affirming environment where you can breathe, speak freely, and start feeling out what healing might look like on your terms. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling supported, respected, and clear about what working together could be like.
