Great to meet you!

I'm Jessica Saraiva, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults, children, adolescents, and families. I currently serve as a school social worker and maintain a clinical practice providing individual and family counseling.

I hold my LCSW, NJ School Social Worker Certification, and a Certificate in Promoting Child & Adolescent Well-Being from Rutgers University, where I earned my Master of Social Work with a 4.0 GPA.

My experience includes supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges, as well as helping children and adolescents with behavioral difficulties, social-emotional struggles, and school-related issues. I'm also bilingual in Portuguese, allowing me to serve clients in their preferred language.

Whether you're seeking support for yourself or your family, I'm here to help.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is warm, strengths-based, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. For adult clients, I incorporate evidence-based approaches that focus on understanding how your past experiences, relationships, and environment shape your mental health. We'll work together to identify patterns, build resilience, and develop practical coping strategies you can use in daily life.

When working with children and families, I use play therapy techniques for younger clients who communicate best through play, while incorporating social-emotional learning and family systems work. I take a collaborative approach with parents and caregivers to ensure everyone feels supported. Whether you're working on individual goals or family dynamics, I create a non-judgmental space where you can be authentic and explore what's really going on beneath the surface.

What you can expect from me

Adult clients can expect to develop practical tools for managing anxiety and stress, navigate life transitions with more confidence, and build healthier relationship patterns.

You'll gain clarity on what's holding you back and create a path toward meaningful change that aligns with your values.

Families working with me will see their children develop better emotional regulation, improved social skills, and increased confidence. Parents often feel more equipped to support their child and notice stronger family communication and connection. Regardless of whether you're seeking individual or family therapy, my goal is for you to not just cope, but to genuinely thrive and feel empowered throughout the process.
