Great to meet you!

I am an Air Force veteran, Clinical Social Worker and Addiction Specialist. I have experienced the challenges of being a single-parent, as well as blending families. I attended college as an adult with a child and I am keenly aware of the difficulties presented when one wants to improve themselves but cannot find a clear path to do so. My friends joke that my problem-solving technique is akin to the game of Tetris because I am a champion problem-solver, even in chaos.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have treated various issues in different populations including combat trauma, victims of domestic violence, self-esteem, career transition, parenting and relationship issues. I frequently use CBT, Narrative Therapy, DBT, and solution-focused techniques to assist my clients in the development of healthy coping strategies.

What you can expect from our first session

Following a session, a client can expect to feel motivated and uplifted. I never end on a sad note or challenge, because it is important to be able to face problems with a sense of power between our sessions. We may practice positive self-talk and work to change negative images during our work together.
