Great to meet you!

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in working with adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma and anxiety. I have been in the field since 2008 after graduating with my master's from Stetson University. I have been trained in many types of therapy and working with different populations and disorders and continue to receive additional training constantly.

My approach to therapy

I am a certified EMDR therapist. EMDR is an evidence-based therapy used to treat trauma and other mental health conditions. First, we build up the client's coping skills and ability to regulate emotions. Then we work to clear out the trauma and upsetting events that may be contributing to your current symptoms, your outlook on yourself and others, and how you interact in the world.

What you can expect from me

I like to educate clients on how their past influences their present symptoms, how their nervous system works, and how to best use skills to calm down their nervous system and improve functioning.
