Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II). I work with clients who are trying to make sense of how past trauma still shows up in their lives today—whether through patterns that feel hard to break, struggles in relationships, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, codependency, or addiction. People often tell me I’m down-to-earth and easy to talk to. Outside of therapy, I find calm and restoration with animals and in nature—especially when I’m near water. I also love music and creative projects...they remind me that healing can take many shapes and that growth doesn’t have to look perfect.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed. I’ll listen closely and help you connect the dots, but I’m also active in offering feedback, skills, and tools to support change. I often tell clients that therapy is like driving with GPS—you choose the destination, and I bring knowledge of the routes, options, and possible detours. I draw on approaches like EMDR and mindfulness when they fit, but I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. My role is to help you clarify the changes you want to make and provide guidance to help you get there.

What you can expect from me

Not every session is going to feel like a breakthrough—sometimes it’s hard work and sometimes it’s lighter. You can expect to feel heard and supported, and also gently challenged when it feels helpful. I’ll always show up fully and give you my best, and I ask that you take the process seriously too. The more you put into therapy, the more you’ll get out of it. We’ll probably laugh along the way, but we’ll also sit with the tough stuff. Over time, you can expect to gain new insights, healthier ways of coping, and a stronger sense of confidence in creating the changes you want in your life.
