I am a Virginia-licensed counselor trained in evidence-based treatment. My practice is strengths-based and recovery-oriented. I work with a diverse population of individuals struggling with stress, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, major life transitions, and substance use challenges. Evening/weekend hours. However, I am unable to serve anyone in King George, Stafford, Fredericksburg, Spotsy, or Caroline County due to a conflict of interest.
My goal is to resolve conflict and build resilience. Utilize therapeutic practices to include solution-focused therapy to equip you with the tools to help you obtain the outcome that brought you to treatment. Assist you in creating a safe space to be you. Help one to understand that choosing professional support for a different outcome is difficult, yet brave.
We will walk together in facing what brought you in and support you in unraveling the layers of hurt, trauma, pain and/or uncertainty. Together, we can work on the struggle that renders you feeling hopeless, and stagnant. Understand that counseling is not easy, while learn tools to fight the problem instead of one another or oneself. Encourage you to continue your path in being brave and take the next step.
