It has been a privilege to have worked in the social work field for over 13 years in the state of Texas in various settings that have included long-term care, hospital settings, inpatient hospice, home health, foster and adoption, Alzheimer's and dementia care, private practice and now clinical supervision.

I received my Bachelors in Social Work from Texas Woman's University and my Master's in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I spent my post-graduate 2 year clinicals preparing to work in private practice and specialize in trauma and serving our veteran population.

I am a native Texan who loves being a wife and mother, and I'm an avid nature lover with a passion for animals and for reading!

My Approach

I take the upmost care to provide a warm, caring and judgement-free approach in my treatment. It's daunting to sit with a stranger and discuss painful and sometimes traumatic details, and I strive to provide a safe and comfortable space to every client. I am trained and practiced in using many therapeutic modalities and approaches including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and many more.

I place great importance on getting to know you with a comprehensive intake and assessment and appropriate diagnosis. A diagnosis isn't meant to be a label, but it is vital to ensuring that you receive the right therapy modality for your needs. There is no one size fits all approach in therapy!

I also will offer referrals and resources to everything from medication management to self-care in your local area. I specialize in treating adults and geriatrics and I have a personal investment in treating our military population. I view each client as unique, worthy of respect, and capable of healing- no matter the severity of the trauma or issue.

I also take this same approach in my clinical supervision. I believe fully in contributing to the profession by providing affordable remote LCSW supervision and helping supervisees become capable, qualified clinical social workers who will be prepared to tackle not only their licensing exams, but their future careers.
