Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Jessica, and I'm glad you're here. My hope is to be a supportive guide as you navigate your journey toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.

I've been in independent practice since 2019 and also work full-time as a school social worker, where I've had the privilege of supporting individuals through a wide range of life's challenges. I earned my Master of Social Work from Syracuse University in 2013 and have spent my career helping people build resilience, gain confidence, and achieve their personal goals.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in empowerment and a strengths-based perspective. I believe meaningful change happens one step at a time, so together we'll focus on building on your existing strengths, celebrating progress, and breaking larger goals into manageable, achievable steps. My goal is to help you feel supported, capable, and equipped with the tools to create a more fulfilling and balanced life.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. My approach is strength-based, meaning we'll build on what's already working in your life while developing new skills to navigate the challenges you're facing. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be your authentic self.

I understand that lasting change doesn't happen overnight. Together, we'll identify realistic, meaningful goals and break them down into small, manageable steps. By celebrating progress along the way, those small victories build confidence and lead to lasting change.

I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques, tailoring treatment to meet your unique needs and goals. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-esteem, or feeling overwhelmed, my goal is to help you develop practical tools, increase self-confidence, and create meaningful, sustainable growth.

Above all, I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you recognize your strengths, overcome obstacles, and move toward the life you want to create.

What you can expect from me

I know taking the first step toward therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it's your first time. My goal is to make therapy feel approachable, conversational, and tailored to what matters most to you.

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you and helping you feel comfortable. We'll spend time talking about what's bringing you to therapy, what challenges you're experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll also ask questions about your personal history, relationships, and other areas of your life that help me better understand your experiences.

This first session isn't about having all the answers; it's about building a foundation. We'll work together to identify your strengths, explore your goals, and begin creating a plan that's tailored to your unique needs. You're welcome to ask questions at any point, and we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the journey ahead.
