Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Jessica, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a primary specialty in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety-related concerns. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University and my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. My work has focused heavily on helping clients better understand intrusive thoughts, compulsions, avoidance, anxiety, and patterns that interfere with daily life. While OCD is my main area of specialty, I am also interested in supporting clients who are navigating relationship concerns, communication difficulties, life transitions, and interpersonal stress. My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative space where clients feel understood while also working toward meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, practical, and evidence-based. I primarily use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), and Behavioral Activation when appropriate. I believe therapy should be individualized to each client’s goals, values, relationships, and current circumstances. Rather than trying to eliminate every uncomfortable thought or feeling, I help clients build confidence in their ability to tolerate uncertainty, reduce unhelpful patterns, and respond differently. Whether we are working on OCD, anxiety, or relationship concerns, my goal is to help clients feel more connected to their values and more confident in how they navigate their lives.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and better understand what is bringing you to therapy. I will ask about your current concerns, important history, relationships, symptoms, and the areas of your life you would most like to improve. We will begin identifying patterns that may be keeping you stuck and discuss what you hope to gain from treatment. I will also explain my approach and answer any questions you have so that therapy feels collaborative and transparent from the beginning. By the end of the session, we will have a clearer sense of your goals and the direction we can take together.
