Great to meet you!

As a first-generation American and the first in my family to attend therapy, I understand both the courage it takes to seek support and the cultural factors that can shape that decision. My experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the unique challenges individuals and families navigate while balancing multiple identities, expectations, and life transitions.

In addition to my professional training, I bring the perspective of being a mother, which has strengthened my empathy, patience, and understanding of the complexities of caregiving, relationships, and personal growth. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered as they work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, direct, and collaborative. I believe therapy should be a space where clients feel genuinely understood and supported while also being challenged to grow. I work closely with clients to identify meaningful goals and ensure our work remains focused on the concerns that brought them to therapy.

I strive to understand each client’s unique experiences and challenges while encouraging them to move toward lasting change, even when growth feels uncomfortable. I believe healing often requires both support and accountability, and I aim to provide a balance of both throughout the therapeutic process.

My work is grounded in a trauma-informed perspective and is supported by extensive trauma-focused training, including EMDR. Whether clients are processing past experiences or navigating current life challenges, I help them build insight, resilience, and practical tools for moving forward.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, judgment-free space where we begin getting to know each other. I'll learn about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and your goals for our work together. We'll discuss relevant parts of your history and identify areas where you'd like to see change.

My style is warm, compassionate, and direct. I believe therapy works best when you feel both supported and challenged, so I'll listen with empathy while helping you explore patterns or obstacles that may be keeping you stuck. Most importantly, our first session is about building trust and collaboration so we can create a plan tailored to your needs.
