Great to meet you!

I earned a Master's of Social Work from the University of Maryland and am now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over seven years of experience. My background includes extensive experience with anxiety/depression, the LGBTQIA+ community, and folks diagnosed with chronic illnesses. I have worked with clients experiencing significant life transitions, grief/loss, and career stress, especially people in the arts. I am also formally trained in evidence-based trauma therapy.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I primarily work with my clients in a clinical person-centered values-based approach. I am a therapist grounded in social work principles of authenticity, non-judgement, competence, and advocacy. I believe in a modern kind of therapy: one where we can laugh together, fit the setting to meet your needs, or even take a walk while we’re talking. My approach is conversational while also being trauma-informed.

What you can expect from our first session

You can expect me to bring my genuine self to every session, while always maintaining the boundaries and structure required for good, safe therapy. I work to create an intentional, non-judgmental space where we can identify your strengths and build on them to sort through overwhelming thoughts. I work to help you to walk away from your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful.
