Great to meet you!

I have a background in communications, a Master of Social Work with a clinical concentration, and my LICSW. I've spent the last decade working in the mental health field across direct clinical practice and organizational leadership, including executive-level work in the nonprofit sector serving some of DC's most vulnerable populations.

In my private practice, I work with adolescents through adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges. I also specialize in disordered eating and body image, and work with individuals and families around relational challenges and life transitions. I have a particular interest in supporting parents of neurodivergent children, as well as neurodivergent adults and parents, drawing on both clinical training and personal experience.

My clients are often high-achieving people in the DMV who are managing a lot: demanding jobs, full lives, high expectations, and are ready to stop just pushing through and start building something that actually works for them.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and evidence-informed. I draw on CBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing, tailoring them to the individual rather than applying a single model. I work best with people who are ready to do something different, not just process what's hard, but develop real tools and strategies they can use outside of sessions.

A meaningful part of my work involves helping people move from surviving to living with more intention. Whether you're an adolescent figuring out who you are, an adult in survival mode, or a parent trying to hold it all together, the goal is the same: leave therapy feeling more capable, more grounded, and more like yourself.

For clients who are interested, I offer walk-and-talk and nature-based sessions. DC has no shortage of good spaces for that, especially in warmer months. It's always an option, never a requirement.

I'm also comfortable integrating faith and values into our work when that's meaningful to a client. I welcome people from all backgrounds and the space I hold is open to whatever matters most to you.

What you can expect from me

The first session is focused on getting to know you, what's bringing you in, what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and what progress actually looks and feels like for you. We'll identify goals and get a sense of direction from the start. You don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out. Most of us don't.
