Great to meet you!

Hello hello! My name is Jessie (he/him) and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University as well as a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. I have 9.5 years of experience providing therapeutic services in multiple settings and have knowledge around eating disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, LGBTQ+, sex and intimacy, and substance use. I believe in providing a safe space for my clients using a person-centered approach which focuses on the importance of each client's goals, preferences, and values. My main focus in session is ensuring that each client is heard, respected, and able to be their most authentic self.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. I use a person-centered framework, meaning I prioritize each individual's unique goals, values, and lived experiences throughout the therapeutic process. I believe healing happens in an authentic relationship, and I strive to foster genuine connection, trust, and collaboration in every session.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, clients can expect a warm, welcoming space where they are encouraged to be themselves without fear of judgment. We'll spend time getting to know one another, exploring what brings you to therapy, and discussing your goals, values, and any preferences you have for our time together. I approach this initial conversation with curiosity and compassion, aiming to understand not just your challenges, but also your strengths.
