Great to meet you!

Hello there,

Great to meet you. My name is Jessie Zamora, LMHC, dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing, balance, and emotional well-being. My goal is to provide a compassionate, safe, and empowering environment where clients feel understood and supported as they work through life’s challenges.

I earned my Master’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Mental Health Counseling, from Albizu University in Miami, where I graduated with honors. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, and the elderly population across a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns. My main focus is to help clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine connection. I believe healing happens when you feel safe, heard, and understood—so that’s the foundation I aim to create from the very first session. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I take the time to really get to know you, your story, and what you want for yourself, and we work together at a pace that feels right for you.

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts and emotions influence their daily lives, and how small shifts can lead to meaningful change. I also use a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, which means I meet you exactly where you are, without judgment, and help you build on your own strengths.

Whether you're dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship stress, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you gain clarity, develop healthier coping tools, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that feel strong and grounded. I also love helping teens and adults navigate life transitions, self-esteem struggles, and the pressures that come with balancing family, work, and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, safe, and truly heard. I know reaching out for support can feel intimidating, so I take my time to get to know you as a person—not just your symptoms or struggles.

During this initial conversation, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once; you can open up at your own pace. I ask gentle, guiding questions to help me understand your background, your strengths, and your goals, but the session always moves in a way that feels comfortable and natural for you.

You can expect a calm, non-judgmental environment, where it’s okay to be honest, uncertain, emotional, or even a little nervous. I want you to feel supported enough to explore what’s going on beneath the surface.

By the end of the session, we’ll start identifying some initial goals together—things like improving coping skills, reducing anxiety, healing from trauma, increasing self-awareness, or simply creating more stability in your day-to-day life. I’ll also explain how I work, what therapy with me looks like, and we’ll decide together what direction feels right moving forward.
