Great to meet you!

As a first-generation Latino male, my personal and professional journey has provided me with a deep appreciation for the challenges individuals face when navigating cultural expectations, life transition, and mental health concerns. Growing up, I experiences firsthand the barriers that can make it difficult to seek support, discuss emotional well- being and access mental health resources.

My interest in the mental health field began during my undergraduate studies when I enrolled in an Abnormal Psychology course in 2015. This experiences sparked a passion for understanding mental health conditions. human behavior m and the profound impact that mental wellness has on overall quality of life. It also helped me recognize the importance of education. self-awareness, and seeking support during difficult times.

As the first person in my family to pursue higher education, I learned the value of resilience, perseverance, and personal growth. Navigating cultural expectations while building my own path taught me the importance of self-respect, accountability, and advocating for one's mental and physical well-being.

In my career I have worked with an array of different ages ranging from middle school to older adults. I have primary focus on adults who have experience substance used, incarceration, generational trauma, homelessness, frequent psychiatric hospitalizations, moderate to severe mental health, and being undocumented.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. I strive to create a safe supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions. and life experiences.

I believe that therapy is a partnership built on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect. Drawing from evidence-based practices., I help clients develop insight, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
